FAQ

What is the dresscode of the welcome dinner?

Summer cocktail and preferably Something blue 💙 Think linen, cocktail dresses, and similar, in any blue color (light or dark)

What is the dresscode of the wedding?

Black tie optional means:

For men, if you have a Tuxedo / Smoking, show it off. If you don’t, a black or dark blue suit is just as elegant.

For women, a long gown is welcome, but a sophisticated cocktail dress is just as appropriate. According to Swedish tradition, female wedding guests should avoid wearing dresses with the primary color of white (color of the bride), black (color of death), and red (this signals that you slept with the groom... 😳😂)

Please note that there are cobblestones outside the church and grassy areas during the aperitif, so we recommend wearing shoes or heels that are comfortable on uneven ground.

What is the dresscode of the farewell brunch?

No dresscode, just show up as you are (goal is that we'll all be tired).

When does the wedding ceremony start?

14.00 sharp. Please arrive at church 13.45 by the latest.

How to best get to and from the venues?

Friday: Buses will pick you up from the hotels (approx. 18.00), bring you to the welcome dinner, and then back home to the hotels again.

Saturday: Buses will pick up guests from Ocean and Strandbaden (approx. 13.30) and bring to the church. Guests staying at Grand Hotel are encouraged to walk since the hotel is walking distance from the church. Buses will bring you from the church to the venue and then back again to each hotel in the evening.

Sunday: No transportation planned as the brunch will be in one of the hotels. If multiple people need to reach the train station after the brunch, we can support with booking taxis or a bus.

How to book a taxi?

Please call +46 346 130 70 (Taxi Raketen) or +46 346 144 00 (Taxi Falkenberg)

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

All events will be indoors to allow for whatever weather the Swedish summer may bring. If the sun is shining, we will enjoy it outside the church and during the apertif.

Are there any recommended hotels?

Please see recommended hotels under tab 'Accommodation' in the menu bar.

How to best reach Falkenberg for international guests?

Please see recommended airports and routes under tab 'Getting There' in the menu bar.

Do you have any photo policy?

Please respect our wish to have a no-phone-ceremony in church. There will be a professional photographer and the pictures will be shared afterwards.

Who is in charge of the program for the weekend?

Mimi Hannell and Povel Gezelius have been appointed as Toast Madame and Toast Master for the weekend and will be guiding both our guests and the wedding couple through the celebrations. If you would like to contribute to the program, please share your ideas by email at mimi.hannell [at] hannells.se or via WhatsApp at +46 70 565 37 42

Can we bring our children to the wedding?

While we absolutely adore your little ones, we have chosen to make our wedding celebration an adults-only occasion. We hope this allows everyone to fully relax and enjoy the festivities. An exception is, of course, made for nursing babies. We’re very grateful for your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you.
